| The La Plata County Energy Council (LPCEC) is a nonprofit trade organization formed in 1998 promoting safe, responsible natural gas development in La Plata County. Individual and company members work to strengthen relations with the community, increase public understanding, and participate in open discussions on important issues relative to the industry. |
| As members of the community, the LPCEC and its member companies understand the vital importance of being a “good neighbor.” We recognize that full compliance with the laws and regulations that apply to our industry is an essential element of what it takes to be a “good neighbor.” There are also many other steps necessary for us to be regarded by the community as a good neighbor. This brochure describes some of those steps. We hope you find it informative and encourage your feedback. |
| The Energy Council welcomes your thoughts on our goals and on our performance as a “good neighbor.” If you are aware of an activity that you feel does not measure up, or you see something we’ve done that should be commended, please let us know. An important role of the LPCEC is to follow up on complaints and to make sure compliments are recognized for a job well done. We’d like to hear from you. |
